Richard S. Strauss, Esq
Richard S. Strauss, Esq. is Of Counsel at S&D Law. Mr. Strauss brings over 37 years of providing high quality legal services to his clients to our firm. After graduating from the University of Colorado (Boulder) with distinction, Mr. Strauss received a J.D. degree from the University of Denver College of Law in 1977. Mr. Strauss was associated with the long-time Denver law firm of Hochstadt, Straw, Strauss & Silverman, P.C. since 1977, first as an associate, then as a Partner, and was managing Partner since 2000. He enthusiastically joined S&D in December, 2014.
Richard's passion is litigation, and his litigation practice focuses on real estate, commercial, construction and employment issues, including covenants not to compete. He has developed a particular expertise in mechanic's lien cases. Richard also has helped numerous clients with estate administration upon the death of a loved one, including litigating probate cases where necessary.
Mr. Strauss also has a lengthy history in representing small businesses and their owners in matters of business formation and break-ups, wills and estate planning, business and real estate contracting, commercial property leasing, as well as business formations and buy-outs.
Mr. Strauss is licensed to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court as well as all state and federal Courts in Colorado.
